Oppo Find X3 Pro 5G 12GB RAM 256GB Black!
The new model has a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with QHD + (3216 x 1440) resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, and P3 color support area. It also comes with stereo speakers and a 4500 mAh battery with SuperVOOC fast charging technology.
The Android operating system is powered by Qualcomm’s top chipset, the Snapdragon 888 and has 12 GB of RAM. In the camera division, the Find X3 Pro offers ultra-wide cameras, tele and microscopes alongside the main wide unit.
In the Find X3 Pro, Oppo uses Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 888 chipset, which features a triple ISP (image signal processor) and NPU (neural processing unit). This means that up to three video signal streams can be processed simultaneously. For example, it can achieve smoother zooms and better results when merging image data from two or more cameras than would be possible with dual ISP configuration of previous Snapdragon chipsets.
The 888 chipset also allows faster processing of recorded frames, allowing for better results for multi-frame noise reduction algorithms, HDR performance and similar applications. In addition, the 888 is the first Qualcomm chipset to support a full 10-bit workflow. As with the latest iPhones and some of the latest high-tech Android devices, images on the Find X3 Pro can be stored in 10-bit HEIF format to include about a billion colors.
Similar to recent iPhones, the Oppo uses Display P3 color space when storing 10-bit images. This color space covers the DCI-P3 range, which is also supported by the screen and allows for higher saturation than would be possible with the sRGB color space. For video, the Oppo Find X3 Pro supports Rec.2020 with even more color space.
The main camera of the Find X3 Pro has a Quad Bayer Sony IMX766 50MP sensor that is slightly smaller than the previous Find X2 Pro and some direct competitors such as the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra. The actual pixel size is also slightly smaller, which could theoretically mean higher noise levels. However, the texture must be good.
The sensor also features DOL HDR (Digital Overlap HDR), which composes different exposures in a single frame, capturing image information in the brightest and darkest parts of the scene, while avoiding image objects. The technology can also be used for HDR video and to improve HDR performance in the preview image.
All the pixels of the sensor allow phase detection, which will help to achieve fast and accurate autofocus even on small objects in the frame.
The image sensor on the ultra-wide camera comes in the same 1 / 1.56 format as the main sensor. This is large enough for extremely wide and should allow similar texture / noise compensation to the main camera. It also uses the same DOL HDR and on-pixel phase detection technologies.
Oppo’s tele specifications lag slightly behind the best in the class. With an equivalent focal length of 52 mm, the single TV camera should provide good 2x magnification results, which is good for zooming and close-up portraits. However, the lack of a more secondary telephoto medium means that a significant loss of detail should be expected at 5x and higher magnifications, even with hyper-resolution algorithms.
The Oppo also has a 3 MP microscope camera with a fixed focus lens that acts as a scanner. You need to hold the camera over the subject you want to shoot. The ring light helps illuminate the subject, which may be hidden by the device itself. The microscope looks a bit like a trick, but it could be a fun tool for enlarging almost invisible textures and structures.
The ten-bit color format and HEIF image allow for extremely realistic color rendering and with its large sensor, the ultra-wide camera should be able to capture images with good detail and low noise.
